DHS Homecoming Weekend

Friday, September 9 - 2:00 PM - ATTEND PEP SESSION.    The Class of 1965 will meet in the NEW DHS lobby of the gymnasium and all enter together.  If this is your first reunion and you have lived out of town all these years, there is a NEW Dalton High School located on Manly Street, just off Waugh Street.  This map will show you the location west of Thornton Avenue (OLD US 41 from our time at DHS).

Friday - September 9 - AFTER PEP SESSION.   Instead of riding on a flat-bed truck in the Homecoming Parade through Dalton, the Class of 1965 will show our support by cheering the parade from Ronnie Barber's front yard as they depart DHS at the beginning and end of the parade route.  Please park at Dalton High School and walk down to Ron's house on Waugh Street.  You won't have any problem finding Ron's house, just follow the DHS 65 crowd after the PEP SESSION.  Snacks, soft drinks, ice, and cups will be provided.  Please bring signs, lawn chairs, and any other food or drink you prefer.

Friday - September 9 - BALLGAME AND PARTY.   Tickets are available through the Dalton High School office at 706-278-8757 for anyone who might want to attend the football game.

The home of Carl Smith at 703 Valley Drive will be the site of the informal gathering beginning at 7:30 PM.  Walk around the house to the screened-in pool area.   If you attend the game, please come by afterwards.  Snacks and drinks will be available.  The party will be held rain or shine, so plan on attending!  (Dress is casual.)  Note from JKT:  Carl's house is just off the bottom of the map above in the next block of Valley Drive south of W. Emory Street.   Valley Drive is ONE WAY at the south end where it connects to Walnut Avenue.   You must come south on Valley Drive from Emory or Franklin Streets where they intersect with Valley Drive.

Saturday - September 10 - GOLF.  If you would like to play golf, please contact Don Thompson at 706-271-5928 or Dale Cruse at 706-226-5762.

Saturday - September 10 - DINNER/MUSIC - DALTON GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB - CLEVELAND HIGHWAY (Dress is business casual)
6:00 PM - Social Hour (cash bar)
7:00 PM - Buffet Dinner and Special Program
"Oldies but Goodies" music will be provided by Bennie Livesay - Graduate of the Class of 1964, and our own "Duke of Earl."
